CUA - Center for Ultracold Atoms Close Window

Bose-Einstein Condensation 2009, Frontiers in Quantum Gases, San Feliu, Spain, 05 - 11 September 2009

The BEC conference is a biannual meeting which is regarded the most prestigious and competitive conference in the field of atomic quantum gases, featuring about 45 invited presentations. Several CUA researchers presented invited talks: John Doyle, A buffer-gas cooled Bose-Einstein condensate Markus Greiner, Quantum Gas Microscope - A Next Generation Quantum Simulator Wolfgang Ketterle, Ultracold fermions with strong interactions Martin Zwierlein, Observation of Fermi Polarons in a tunable Fermi liquid of ultracold atoms In addition, several CUA alumni gave invited talks: Robert Loew (Ketterle group diploma student), Jeff Steinhauer (Ketterle group postdoc), Mukund Vengalattore (Prentiss group graduate student) For more details, see
