Eleven CUA PIs, students and former researchers present at Bose-Condensation conference Sant Feliu, September 10-16, 2011

The most prestigious conference on atomic quantum gases is the bi-annual meeting on “Bose-Einstein Condensation – Frontiers in Quantum Gases,” which is taking place in San Feliu de Guixols, Costa Brava, Spain, September 10 – 16, 2011 (see

There is annually heavy competition for the  invited talks. Among the 47 invited speakers this year are 11 people who are or have been associated with research of the Center for UltraCold Atoms: PIs Eugene Demler, Markus Greiner, Wolfgang Ketterle, and Martin Zwierlein; former CUA graduate students Dan Stamper-Kurn, Zoran Hadzibabic, Shin Inouye, Gretchen Campbell; a former diploma student Michael KÓ§hl; and former postdoctoral students Lode Pollet and Anatoli Polkovnikov.
