CUA Remembers Norman Ramsey

Norman F. Ramsey, one of the towering personalities of physics in the
second half of the twentieth century and a close friend of the Center
for Ultracold Atoms, died on Friday, November 4, 2011 at the age of
96.He was widely admired because of his many contributions to physics,
for his role as a teacher and as a statesman of science. His enthusiasm,
warmth and integrity reflected the best qualities of physics. His spirit
lives on in the CUA.
