Biography

A Serbian citizen, Marko Cetina was born in Belgrade, Serbia where he attended Mathematical High School.
He came to the US in 1999. on a student exchange program, graduating from Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, CA.
After earning Bachelor of Science degree with honor in Applied Physics and Applied Mathematics from California Institute of Technology, in 2004 Marko started the Ph.D. program in physics at MIT

Marko is currently working in prof. Vladan Vuletic's group on ultracold ion-atom collisions and quantum memories using trapped atomic ions.
