Ultracold polar molecular gases promise new directions and exciting applications in collisions and chemical reactions at ultralow energies, novel quantum phase transitions, and quantum information science. In the last year, we have created a near quantum degenerate gas of KRb polar molecules in their lowest hyperfine, rotational, vibrational, and electronic ground state. I will present studies of ultracold collisions of KRb, including quantum statistics controlled ultracold chemical reactions and electric dipole-dipole collisions.
