Ultracold polar molecules in their absolute ground state are now a reality. This opens the door for many applications related to quantum information processing. I will give a brief overview over our take on the production/cooling issue - a combination of STIRAP and Feshbach resonances. In addition, I will introduce the basic idea of creating single photon nonlinearities as the combination of slow light polaritons and dipole-dipole interactions for a deterministic and coherent setup. Decoherence issues and other problems will be discussed. 10 Minute Talk: Strong coupling between a spin qubit and a nano-mechanical resonator
